It’s been ages since most of us left school but love for our ‘second home’ is still the same. ‘It was just last year that we passed out’, it seems.
Classrooms where we learnt our first lessons, playgrounds where we learnt to play in sun and rain, events we were part of, friends we made and most importantly the values that we imbibed have shaped our lives.
All along we met people who wished for an alumni but it has always been difficult to get people together. Alumni forum is something that we certainly need to reconnect with batch-mates and to build a spirit of togetherness.
It is indeed an opportunity to meet fellow students, share old memories and taste that STCS experience once again.
It is difficult to think of anyone who can even think of missing this opportunity except that he/she is not living in the selected cities. However, we are just getting started and fellow Thomasite’s will take this initiative to all cities in India and beyond.
We sincerely request all past students to come forward and take this initiative forward. It’s only with your support that this will take shape.
See you on the 25th.
Thanks & Regards,
STCS Alumni Forum
Honestly i miss the charm of that school crowd-being with my friends, chatting with the seniors, and teasing the juniors. There were so many known faces, just a smile and it made difference to so many people. I remember being arnd with so many seniors-some of them being ny bro's batchmate, some being my neighbours, and some by just hanging around in school like me!
ReplyDeleteAnd what to say abt teachers? They seemed to be the tormentors at that time, but today when i have understood why they were so strict. They were grooming us so that we can meet all the challenged in future. Even when they punished us, they were always warm and affectionate. i have learnt all this from my experience of providing tutions which helped me learn that the only thing that a teacher expects out of his/her students is to groom them the best and every teacher in STCS have contibuted to what we are today! I wish i had realised their importance during the schooldays.
Let's give back to our school the same love and warmth that it showered on us by joining hands together and starting the alumni meet. Please spread the word for this alumni meet.
