This meeting was for a purpose and everyone ensured we did so. The STCS Mumbai Alumni Chapter was unanimously renamed STCS Mumbai Family. Over a few cuppa coffee we discussed the Alumni roadmap and shared some light moments cherishing our school days.
Important things discussed during the meeting:
Each One Reach One Campaign: You must have already noticed that we have already started promoting the campaign. The aim of the campaign is to get all Thomasites registered on a global alumni database. If you have already registered than you have to get all your batchmates, seniors and juniors registered too! Go ahead and promote the Alumni Register. For details visit http://bit.ly/dixq3x
Serve your Alma Mater: If you are a professional and are willing to help the school in general and the existing students in particular then come forward or push your friend forward to conduct a workshop in school. For details get in touch with us on stcsalumni@gmail.com
Scholarships: We discussed the idea of providing scholarships for deserving students and the ones who are unable to pay their fees. The candidates would be decided by the school administration. We seek every members feedback on this.
Mumbai Family Charity Event: We discussed the idea of taking up a social programme on the last Sunday, June 27th 2010. If you know of any NGO in Mumbai working for underpriviledged children then let us know. We will visit and support these kids in cash or kind based on one's decision. We will share details soon. We would also invite people from other cities to take up similar activity in their respective city.
Lighter Moments: It is difficult to explain in words the fun and excitement we had discussing the silly pranks we played in school, talking about our classmates and remembering our teachers. Not to forget some special people who were remembered that day.
